Laser hair removal

Stop having to ask yourself if you’re smooth or not before you slip on your strapless dress, your camisole or even when you’re going out to play sport.

What is laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal is a good solution to unwanted hair, whether you are seeking treatment for aesthetic or hygiene reasons. At each session, you will be looked after by our laser specialist, who will carry out a test on part of the area to be treated.

The dermatologist will monitor your skin’s reaction and approve or adjust the laser settings to your skin type to achieve the best result.

  • 4 to 8 sessions will be necessary to remove 80% of the hair. Laser hair removal cannot remove all hair in a single session as it is only effective on hair that is actively growing, which is only true for around 20% of hair strands at any given time. There are approximately 3 to 4 weeks between sessions, allowing the hair remaining to enter the growth stage

  • Before starting a treatment, the type of hair must be examined and your desired outcome analysed in order to determine the area to be treated and to achieve a well-defined result. Avoid sun exposure on the area to be treated. Do not wax, epilate or use tweezers on the area in the 4 weeks before treatment.

Please note that we do not perform any laser or aesthetic treatments on pregnant women.

  • The sensation experienced varies from one person to another and depends on the area treated. It is often compared to the sting of an elastic band. This prickling sensation is minimised by cooling the area with a jet of cold air before each laser impact.

  • Slight reddening accompanied by bumpiness is common; this will disappear within a few hours. We will apply a moisturising cream to the treated area. Avoid exposing the treated area to the sun.

  • Temporary depilation techniques such as shaving, creams and waxing: Waxing produces the longest-lasting results of any temporary hair removal method as the hair is torn out at the root rather than cut on the surface of the skin.

Permanent hair removal at home: An increasing number of brands are offering hair removal appliances for use at home. These are generally flash lamps that are able to treat small areas.

Pulsed light hair removal: Pulsed light hair removal works using a “flash lamp” that emits intense pulses of light. This light reduces hair density by up to 90% by destroying melanin, which gives hair its pigment. This is a semi-permanent method: the hair grows back after 2 to 3 years.

Laser hair removal: Lasers emit a light that destroys the hair at its root. Lasers allow you to permanently remove around 80% of all hairs. This treatment is performed under medical supervision
