What is laser hair removal ?
Laser hair removal offers an adequate solution, whether for aesthetic or hygienic reasons. At each session, our laser specialist will perform a test on a part of the area to be depilated.
The dermatologist will monitor your skin’s reaction and validate or adapt the laser values to your skin type for best effectiveness.

Efficiency *
4 to 8 sessions will be necessary to eradicate 80% of the hair. Laser hair removal cannot get rid of hair in a single session because it is only effective if it is in the growth phase, which represents only about 20% of your hair. The sessions will be spaced out for about 3 to 4 weeks to allow the remaining hair to go through the growth phase.
Before treatment
Before starting a treatment, the type of hair must be examined, your request analyzed in order to define the limit of the area to be depilated and to achieve a clear result. Avoid exposing the area to be waxed to the sun. Do not wax, epilate or tweeze for 4 weeks prior to treatment.
Please note that we do not perform any laser or cosmetic treatments on pregnant women.
During treatment
The sensation varies from person to person and depends on the area treated. It is often compared to a rubber band. This tingling is controlled by cooling the area before each laser impact with a cold air jet.
After the treatment
Slight redness accompanied by papules are noted; they will disappear in the following hours. We apply a moisturizing cream to the treated area. Avoid sun exposure of the waxed area.
Different technologies
Temporary hair removal techniques such as razor, cream and wax: Waxing is the most durable temporary hair removal technique because the hair is removed, not cut.
Permanent hair removal at home: More and more brands are offering hair removal devices for use at home. They are generally flash lamps that allow to treat small surfaces.
Intense pulsed light hair removal: Intense pulsed light hair removal is performed using a “flash lamp” that delivers intense pulsed light. This light reduces up to 90% of the hair by destroying the melanin, the pigment of the hair. This is a semi-definitive method: the hair grows back after 2 to 3 years.
Laser hair removal : The laser diffuses a light that destroys the hair at its root. The laser can permanently eradicate about 80% of hair. This treatment is done under medical supervision.
